FAQ

Will this work where my farm has no cellular coverage?

Yes. You can choose LoRaWAN (with gateways) or the NBIoT + NTN satellite + LoRaWAN hybrid option for remote areas.

How accurate is the location?

GNSS accuracy is typically <2.5m CEP in good outdoor conditions. Terrain, canopy, and device configuration can affect results.

How often does the tag report?

Reporting intervals are configurable. Heartbeat and GNSS reporting can be set based on your preferred balance of frequency and power use.

Do I need to replace batteries?

The tag uses a solar panel + 150mAh rechargeable battery to reduce maintenance. Runtime depends on reporting frequency, sunlight, and connectivity.

Is it rugged enough for real farm conditions?

The tag is rated IP66, uses PC/ABS housing, and is designed for outdoor wear and animal movement.

Can multiple staff use the system?

Yes—unlimited users and unlimited cattle records in the app (per your guideline). You control access.

What about data security?

LoRaWAN uses AES128 encryption. Other network options use secure transport methods appropriate to the protocol stack and configuration.

Can I update firmware without collecting all tags?

The device supports FOTA over Bluetooth, enabling updates when devices are in range of your update workflow.
